FYI,

I just visited the apple store in CA and purchased old 2.4Ghz unibody Macbook pro at $1499($1599-$100(education discount)). In addition, I was confirmed that I am eligible for the iPod rebate.

It was sweet deal for me because I did not need long battery life or 8GB memory. Of course, in the future if I need 8GB I can sell and get the available notebook at that time.

Thanks and I hope it helps some people in the market

These are also available on Apple's Refurb site for $1349.

But it is new one (not the refurbished one) and free ipod. I think it is better deal.
