Hi All

What is a comfortable temperature for the new macbookpro's ?
I got the new 15" 2.4Ghz Mac and it runs CPU around 60 degrees celsius

Is this normal?

Thanks
FD

Sounds about right, my MacBook is idling at 63º right now with iTunes and Safari open...

Last night I got to about 88º doing something intensive.

actually which one do we look at?

there is CPU A, and GPU Diode

my GPU diode is the one which always gets hot the fastest

wonder why

Yeah my macbook idles around 55 degrees Celcius. But when performing more intensive tasks it does increase a little for sure. Having 4Gb does help lower the temp for sure! :D

mine idles around 45C, but under load can reach 80C
the cpu is safe up to around 100C (although the case may not be)
and the gpu is safe up to around 150C afaik

Mine is idling at 50 degrees celsius right now. The GPU Diode seems to be about 10 degrees hotter that the CPU most of the time.

thanks for the response guys!
mine is now around 40degree's

how does 4GB help lower the temp? I currently have 2GB but should be running 4GB soon
