macbook pro 2.53 hinge and lid

So i installed my speck satin cover which everyone seems to hate here LOL seems fine to me. But I noticed that my hinges may be tad loose... how loose or tight should it be? If i walk fast with the lip open to go into the next room, should my lid be moving further open or further close? just wondering..

also how do i make it such that when I close my lid it does nothing. meaning i can leave it on with my lid closed etc

I have a Spec 15" hard case and mine fits very snug so if yours is moving around at all I'd wonder if something was incorrect. Secondly when I carry my computer the screen stays stationary. Those are my experiences thus far.

You need to get a program called Caffeine to keep your MacBook from sleeping when you close the lid.

ok with your screen open just hold it up and bob it up and down a few time.... does it move back ? lol just checking may seem like a silly question
