MacBook Pro 2.53GHz i5 Good Deal?

Hey guys, just wanted to ask some of you guys' opinion on the machine I'm about to hopefully purchase.

The machine i'm trying to buy from my friend is mint conditioned
15" MacBook Pro equipped with the 2.53 GHz Intel i5. 500GB HDD 8GB RAM and Intel HD 3000 + Nvidia 330GT and I'm buying it for $1,200

is that a good deal!? :)

That's a decent deal depending on the condition. That config normally sells for $1400 on Craigslist or eBay. I got my MBP 15 2.66 i7 8GB, 500GB for $1100 :D

stay away from craigslist, to many scammers and such.

highly recomend kijiji, safer, more reiable and more features.

nice deal AC status?
I bought same system with hi res anti glad with 500 gb 7200 Hd 8 gb ram
came with keyboard mouse incase frost case and brand new wrapsol and 3 years of ac and a 25 in hp flat screen for 1560 just in June.

Yes this was on Craigslist. And the funning this is, I sold my MacBook Pro 13 2010 C2D 2.66GHZ 8GB 500GB HD for the same price a day later! Performance? i7 is WAAAAY faster than C2D! Also, if you do buy off CL, you have to be extremely careful and take your time examining the product. Meet at StarBucks and MacDonalds so you can look up the serial number and the AppleCare expiration date.

Yeah i personally know the person, and he barely uses it. Since he has the Mac Pro. He decided to sell me this.

Apple Care status expires in November. Also this came with an Apple WirelessKeyboard and a Speck Clear Shell Case.

I'm happy with the purchase. I can't wait to start editing on this bad boy.
I also hook this up on my 28" LCD. Editing monster haha. but i bet the i7 is AMAZING! I wish i had that one. but hey this one is awesome! ;)
 
The difference between the 2010 i5 and i7 is not much. Its faster but not like the difference between a 2010 i5 and i7
