Hello everyone.

What are all the differences between the 2.6 and the 2.7 besides the clock speed and the cache?

And what do those differences that they have mean : TSX-NI instruction set, Intel vPro Technology, Intel Stable Image Platform Program (SIPP), Trusted Execution Technology?

And any of those differences affect Final Cut Pro performance?

And what do those extra functions do?

Thank you for your kind help.

Difference is negligible. You wouldn't notice it.

If you want the absolute best performance for FCPX, it's down to the dGPU in the 15". Upgrade that to 4GB/460. That'll be far better for your needs, rather than paying the same amount for a CPU bump.

Thank you. I already did that upgrade.
[doublepost=1494861866][/doublepost]It I was thinking that maybe any of those functions have something to do with Final Cut.

What is the actual CPU? Are you comparing an identical generation i5 where the only difference is 2.6 vs 2.7? Or are you comparing a 2.6GHz i5 to a 2.7GHz i7? Or last year's processor to this year?
