I've just replaced the keyboard in my macbook pro 15" (aluminium, pre-unibody). Its an old model which requires the old keyboard but all I could find was the newer one (with new improved function keys, play, pause, FFWD etc), but when I press the buttons, the have the function of the old keyboard. Is there anything I can do so that my computer recognises it's a new keyboard? An update for example?

I currently use 10.6.8 on this machine.

Any replies, most welcome.
Thanks, Paul
