Macbook Pro (2008 late) Disk Image

Hi Guys,

I got my macbook pro today, I am having a problem with trying to boot from USB or once restored onto internal drive my image wont boot and the laptop just contionusly reboot. (I restored using the OSX CD which came with the laptop).

The only thing I can think of was the image was made off my old Macbook pro 2.33 (ATI) etc...

Although it was updated to 10.5.5 ?? any ideas to what could be causing the problem?
