Hi guys hope you can help me resolve my problem. I have an old Macbook and I wanted it to upgrade my OS but when I upgrade it I have this problem.

If I were a betting man, I'd say your hard drive's kicked the bucket.

Aw so you mean i have to replace my hard drive ?the problem is i don't have a back up of my OS do how can I format my new HDD ?

A 2008 Mac should have install media, unless you've lost it. You can boot from that and run disk utility to format a new drive and install OS X onto it.

Unfortunately i might lost it any work around for this ?
