Hi,

I have installed Windows Vista on my Macbook Pro 2008 15 inch model (Santa Rosa) running leopard. When I run windows I get no sound at all. I have tried the following

Updating the Realtek Driver
Running the driver from the Mac disc
Downloading and running the latest version of bootcamp
Deleteing the Driver and re-installing

I have also tried the above with Windows XP and Windows 7 but no sound. When the sound driver is being installed the speaker makes a crackle and thats it.

All I want to do is play a PC game and I really do not want to go and buy a Windows Laptop just to do that.

I have followed various threads on the Web and I still have not solved this.

If anyone has any ideas or has solved this then help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Chris.
