macbook pro 2009 ram

this ram kit says its for the 09 macbook pro 15 i have the 13 will it still work

another thing i want to ask that just occurred is that it has only 1 stick of 2gb so should i just get another 2gb stick or go ahead and upgrade it to 8

the link said it was ddr3 1066 mhz
