Hi guys,
My 2009 MBP suddenly wont boot. It makes the startup sound, the apple logo appears and the spinning clock/wheel appears for a few seconds but then freezes.
I'm running a fairly new SSD, but have also switched it out with an older SSD that had a fresh install of 10.7.4 that I had stashed away for a rainy day. Same problems.
With both drives, the same things happen:
cant boot into safe mode at all.
when trying to boot from USB, my drive, the recovery drive and the installer USB show up, but attempting to load any of them results in the same freeze.
Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions?
Much appreciated

Just tried the NVRAM reset - it booted into disk utility and It's attempting to backup from time machine! *fingers crossed*
