Hi there. So It all started off when I was getting an error message when I tried to sync my Ipod to my laptop. I took it to the apple store and they told me to create a new itunes library. I did that and my computer was being slow and unresponsive. I did a hard reboot. Now when I try to turn on my computer all I get is the noise, the logo, and the spiny gear thing. I tried putting it into safe mode but it wouldn't work. If i have to wipe my HD is there any way i can retrieve data. Thanks!

Is there anything I can do? Any repairs? And I was thinking it was more of a software issue, maybe like a corrupt file or something.

Ok so do you think I should reinstall os x?

I would go back in to the Apple Store first. They can do a hardware diagnostic and make sure none of your hardware has gone bad, or is going bad.

I would go into the Apple store; they can tell you if your hardware is okay first.
