Hey folks,

I've tried a few different headphones and the result is the same. Whenever I plug in some headphones, the computer acknowledges them, but I hear no sound, except for some VERY minimal clicks when increasing the volume. There's no red light coming out of the jack, which I've read about online. I've googled this countless times and have a tried a multitude of solutions, but none have worked. I've reset the VRAM, the SMC, tried to reset the sound card and still nothing. The weird thing is that the computer can hear the sounds coming from the inline mic on my headphones so I can't decide if it's a hardware or software issue.

Any help is appreciated, thanks for reading.

First off it would save the time of whoever might help you if you outlined every single thing you've tried first, to avoid people recommending things you've already done and help them focus on finding tips you haven't yet considered. I know you listed a few, you should list all.
