Hey, i've just been offered a macbook pro 13 2010 for £400. Im currently looking to getting into mac as the only reason i use windows at the minute is .NET development for my university course along with playing a few games now and again. However the games i play are available now on OSX natively and windows runs in Parralels.

The mac ive been offered is the base model from that year and i was wondering if you think this is a good purchase for the price right now as im in no position to buy a brand new macbook or imac?

Cheers.

Have a look at ebay and get a comparison price. Subject to condition maybe £350, remember there a lot of new laptops with i5 quad core processors for about £400 new.

You do not have any warranty with is Macbbok and it could be expensive should you need any service.
My advice go for a new PC laptop.
