I have a 2010 MacBook Pro, and bought a new battery from ebay. Before, the MacBook used to work fine with just the magsafe adapter without the battery. I hooked up the new battery after which it turned on fine at first. After that I switched it off to charge, came back and now it won't start at all, not even with the battery hooked off! Starting to worry that the battery fried the logic board... Tried an SMC reset, reseating the RAM, but nothing works. The battery indicator on the side has also stopped working. Does anybody have any ideas?

UPDATE

I managed to solve the problem. For some reason the battery level indicator caused short circuit. Once I unplugged it from the logic board my MacBook started working again!
