I am considering upgrading all the macs in my house with new Ram, does anyone know what ram configuration is in the 2011 MacBook Pro 15" It is 4GB but is it 1x4GB or 2x2GB(My Guess). Also does anyone know what the MacBook Pro 13" has? I would crack them open myself but can not find a screwdriver in my house that fits it. Appreciate anyones input.

Thank you, I knew they wouldn't make it that easy for me to upgrade them.

This would be nice! I will upgrade to 16gb!

The MacBook Pro 2011 from what I have read only supports 8GB and the 2010 iMac is 16GB. I am looking to max both systems on ram when I receive my payment from the AppStore next month.

You can get it up to 16gb! But its expensive! And yes the MBP 2011 will support 16gb!

I am going to have to look into it more then it seems. So far from what I have read it looks like $50 for 2x4GB for each system.

Both the Macbook Pro 13" and 15" comes with 4GB RAM. It has to be 2x2, if not, then the computer won't take the full potential of the RAM. Anyways, I would suggest upgrading to 8GB if you have the money. I've just upgrade my MBP from 2GB to 8GB. Feels like the snappiest laptop I've ever used :D

There might be another thread & I thought I seen it before, but what ram or where do I get the 8gb ram for macbook pros? I'm also looking to get the 15" But I'm going to upgrade the ram myself. Also how many Mhz does the mobo support?
