I've seen posts of people stating their macbook pros 2011 running on 24gb/32gb RAM. Just wondering if someone here could confirm if this configuration really works without issues? The crucial 16GB DDR3L modules seem to be the choice. thanks in advance.

All 2011 MacBook Pro models will accept 16GB of memory. Apple says 8GB. If someone has installed 24GB or 32GB, I would like to see their "About this Mac" dialog for verification.

Doesn’t work. CPU itself supports 32GB RAM but CPU doesn’t read more than 8GB per DIMM. Same applies for the 2012s.

There's a difference between what you install and what the system can recognize and use.

It will only read and use 16GB of RAM, no matter how much you try to stick in there. If anything, I think that you're going to run into some major issues underutilizing RAM like that.
