Today I opened up my MacBook Pro 2012 to get rid of all the dust that was inside the computer.

I also disconnected the hardrive and was going to replace it but I didn't have the hardrive with me so I put it back. I made sure I reconnected the battery cable back to the logic board and when I was done putting the cover back I conmected the power cable to my mac and it didn't charge.

It was perfectly fine before I opened it. Now it won't even charge. The batter indicator also doesn't light up at all. And the charger doesn't light up green or orange either. So is it that I might have damaged the battery? Outlet works and the charger works since I used it Thks morming before I opened it.

And when I was trying to disconnect the battery cable from the logic board I used a metal stick foolishly and there was a spark when I disconnected it so I don't know if maybe that fried or killed the battery?

It's possibly worse than a dead battery; the computer should still work without it. Whatever sparked when you were trying to disconnect the battery could have damaged something on the logic board.

Well my battery was dead when I opened up the computer so I needed to charge it anyways. And one of the USB ports were already dead so I was planning on replacing the logic board too.

Disconnect the battery connector and see if it starts up when you connect the MagSafe connector - I've seen a few "dead" MacBook Pros (no power, no lights on MagSafe - SMC or PRAM resets don't help) that miraculously start up when the battery is temporarily disconnected. Once started, I shut them off, reconnect the battery, and they work fine (and the battery still has a reasonable charge).

Otherwise, you probably cooked something - with the broken USB port, you probably can use a new logic board anyway. I knew someone that fried their USB ports (both of them) and did the flat-rate repair from the Apple Store to get a new logic board out of warranty - if you look around the Internet, it seems to be a thing, but not advertised or offered in every situation:

I'd just make a Genius Bar appointment, explain what was going on, and just see what they can do for you. Since your machine is still being sold, you might have more luck.
