MacBook Pro 2012 Keyboard Replacement

I'm going to be replacing the keyboard on a friend of mines 2012 MacBook Pro. Some of the keys are not working (even after switching the keycaps) and some of them are internally stuck "pressed." I was going to order the top case with keyboard (https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Mac/Ma...-Early-2011-Mid-2012-Upper-Case/IF163-027?o=5), but do I just need to order the keyboard (https://www.ifixit.com/Store/Mac/MacBook-Pro-Unibody-A1278-Keyboard/IF163-061?o=1)? Advice here would be helpful!

It would be easier to find the keyboard/top case as one part as you can drop in the rest of the components from the original MBP, screw them down and be on your way. You can replace the keyboard on it's own, keeping the existing top case but it's a lot of work involving a multitude of screws, lining up the keyboard LED strip and applying the adhesive cover (to keep liquids out).
