Hi I have got today a Macbook pro 15" 2014 with a bady delaminated screen and bloated batteries.
It is worth noting that the external case was absolutely pristine, not the tiniest scratch and the keyboard hat absolutely trace of wear.
Inside, it was full of dirt and fluffs, indicating a past intensive usage.
So that device has clearly been intensively used, but only as a desktop device, with closed lid and external keyboard/mouse/screen.
That brings me to the conclusion about the causes of the staingate on some devices and not on others.
Wear, scrubbing, finger sweat should here clearly not not have been the cause as a frequently proposed explanation for delaminating, but heat from working with a closed lid, surely...
