Hello,

I am looking for some way of reading data off a MacBookPro (MacBookPro11,1) 2014 SSD on a desktop/other computer.

I understand that the drives are no mSATA but an apple PCIe variant. Are there any devices out there that can be used to install this drive into another computer for data recovery.

If not,

What are the chances of putting the drive into a 15" retina Macbook Pro and it booting?

How about just using target disk mode? The rMBP is an expensive enclosure, but at least that might work for temporary recovery?
