Hi, I always wanted to have a MacBook and now is the time. I have a good offer from a friend. He is selling me a MacBook Pro 2015 13” retina display, i5, 8 gb ram, 128 GB SSD. How is the performance of this laptop today? It will be a good purchase?

I have this MacBook Pro but with a 512 SSD. Fantastic machine and almost three years after purchasing it, it still runs flawlessly. I'm on Sierra 10.12.6 and it is without a doubt the fastest and smoothest machine I have ever owned. I would go for it!
IF the 2015 MBP is in good shape, and if the price is right, I would recommend it over ANY 2017 model.
The keyboard won't break and it has many more ports that you can actually use without dongles.
But again -- is it in good physical shape?
Is it running ok?

Seems to be a decent price in terms of the condition etc - my only argument would be that you can probably get a larger capacity hard drive for a minimal difference in price somewhere on ebay or craigslist (maybe $100 or $200) It's not exactly the smallest increase in price, BUT these models do last for a long time and I think most people would struggle using a 128gb hard drive (unless your okay with keeping a majority of files on an external drive)
