Macbook Pro 2015 15"

Hi, Guys,

How much do you think the new Macbook Pro 15" base model will cost and how do you think it will compare to the current model?

Also, do retailers usually drop the cost of current models upon new releases?

Clearly I'm asking as I am considering buying a macbook pro but am unsure whether to wait or not.

2015 is a long way away...

If you mean 2013, no one knows for sure when or if new models will be released. Everyone is hoping they will be announced next Tuesday, October 22nd. Wait at least that long to find out if they are announced, and to determine what will meet your needs before you buy.

Judging off of the price of the iMac and Macbook airs, they will be the same price this year. Wait one week for (probably) Apple's last media event and see what happens.

IF new MacBook Pros are announced on Tuesday, October 22nd (like we are all hoping), they they could possibly be available via the Apple Store and website the same day.

No one except Apple knows for sure at this point, and they aren't saying anything official until next week.

If the new Pros are actually announced on the 22nd (though there is reasonable doubt), they should be available immediately.
