Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can tell me if I am up for a new computer, I have a genius appointment late tomorrow afternoon, and I am scared they won't be able to fix it.
A few months ago I was using my Macbook Pro 2015, and these strange horizontal lines appeared. After several restarts and Pram & SMC resets the screen worked ok again. Until today. Now no matter what I try I can't get the screen back. I can hook my computer up via HDMI to my TV and it appears fine on the telly, everything works (except the screen on the computer, which is still horizontal lines). It doesn't make a difference how closed/open the screen is.
I have attached a pic of the screen.
Thanks in advance.

If it works fine through an external monitor, it's most likely LCD/LCD cable failure. Worst case scenario, new Logic Board too.

But honestly you haven't anything to worry about. If you still have AppleCare they'll be able to fix it free of charge and even a new Logic Board would leave all your data unaffected.
