Hi,

Two months after buying my MacBook Pro 2015 an issue occurred where the keyboard and trackpad became completely unresponsive, leaving the laptop unusable without an external mouse / keyboard. I treated the laptop carefully and as a result of this as well as it being under warranty apple rapaired it for free.

Now, a year later, the laptop is not under warranty and the exact same issue has occurred. Again I have treated the laptop with care so this is no fault of mine.

Do I have any rights in regard to compensation for this? Is there anyway I am entitled to a free repair/replacement - such as the UK consumer law?

I will be taking it into the apple store shortly but just wanted to see what people thought on here.

Many thanks

Yes under UK consumer law youave 5years protection as long as you can prove it’s a fault with the computer when bought as you have previous with the same issue they should fix it free.
You may have to fight a bit though so know your rights first and insist on talking to a manager or supervisor not a lackey.
