Hey!

I have two used mbp 2015 (15 inch) in mind, but can’t decide which one is better.

Use: graphic design, illustrator, photoshop, indesign, dreamweaver, lightroom. No video editting, no 3d, no animation.

Is my second machine, I use an iMac for day use.

Option A 1500 dls
2015 model bought in 2017 (I think is the refreshed one)
i7 quad core (don’t know speed)
1 tb ssd
16 ram
Intel Iris Pro graphics
60 cicles of battery

Option B 1100 dls
2015 model bought in 2015
i7 2,5
500 ssd
16 ram
Intel Iris Pro + AMD Radeon R9 2GB
0 cicles battery (recently replaced in the apple program)

Any recommendations?

WOW!

Thanks a lot, I edited the post with another one that is 2015...

I would say go with Option B now:

- It has a new and safe battery
- You might not need the dGPU for the video editing, but it does make a difference in Adobe photoshop and illustrator and running new versions of macos
- You save a bit of cash and can buy very fast 1TB external SSD for example.

If you're fine with 512GB of storage then definitely go for option B:
- dedicated graphics
- new battery + new top case and keyboard

But anyway, I used to have a mid 2015 MBP for work (Xcode, Unity, etc..), and have always thought that it's the best laptop Apple has ever made (and while it's partially true), I was surprised of how cooler the newer models ran. I got myself a base model 15" 2018 MBP and it runs cooler doing the exact same thing (and of course faster because of the extra 2 cores and 4 threads)

Yes of course, I have a 2019 and is far way faster than the 2015, it´s 4 years behind in tech, appart from the trusted keyboard, ports, etc etc... we can´t fight tech
