So, yesterday my macbook pro 2016 wouldn't start if it was not plugged.
Battery status displayed: "Replace Now: The battery is functioning normally but holds significantly less charge than it did when it was new. You can continue to use the battery until you replace it without harming your computer."

Today, the laptop is not starting, even plugged.

I left it at the apple store for checkup.

Anyone experienced this "problem"?
It is only 2 months old...

It is only 2 months old...

Didn't get the battery warning, but we had a machine suddenly do this maybe a week or two in. Brief run of a bunch of people reporting this a few weeks after the first units got received, then it mostly stopped, so I suspect it's a rare hardware defect they're still cleaning up.

Since the retina MacBook pro's, getting a battery replaced means it needs a new top case (keyboard, trackpad, battery). It's because the batteries are glued to the case.
