MacBook Pro 2018 15" i7 2.6GHZ vs i9 2.9GHZ Xcode performance?

Hey. I am planning to buy a new MacBook Pro. I do a lot of iOS development, Swift in Xcode. I am torn between the 5" i7 2.6GHZ and the i9 2.9GHZ. Doe anyone have any experience with the two of these in Xcode. Would the i9 perform much faster or is it likely to be much the same due to the throttling issues? Not sure if it's worth the extra money or not.

It won't perform "much" faster, and it won't be the same. It will be somewhat faster though. If you are not sure if its worth the extra money, then it most likely is not.
