Hi MacBook Pro users,

I have a new (2 week old) MacBook Pro 13 (i5/16GB/512GB). My usage is light browsing, some video, and terminal use (remote dev work on a Linux server). The battery life I get varies between 8-10 hours, which is I suppose as expected. However, I get nowhere close to the 30 day standby time with battery draining about 1-2% per hour when the lid is closed during safe sleep.

Is this normal? This is my first Macbook so battery issues are new to me. I have tried the following:

1) Disabling Power nap
2) Disabling Bluetooth
3) Changing ttyskeepawake flag to 0
4) Reinstalling MacOS
5) Resetting SMC and NVRAM

Thank you folks!

The 30 days standby basically assumes system entering full hibernation rather than regular sleep after a day or something, and then not being opened again till 30 days are up.. so, basically this is normal I would say.

i have the 15" model and i get around 1% drain over 6-7 hours while the lid is closed
