Hi , I have a MacbookPro 15inch 2018 ( 2.6ghz, 32gb ram , radeon 560x gpu ). I have connected this to an external monitor (the widely used 34'' Xiaomi 2K 144hz monitor ) with an adapter usbC -> displayPort that successfully supports the 144hz. Recently, I have tremendous problems with chrome and most of chrome-based programs (like GitKraken, Slack etc). Especially with chrome itself, if I open the browser my macbook fans fire up, and everything becomes extremely slow, especially if i open anything on YouTube (resolutions doesnt matter). The weird part is that (through CleanMyMac) I can see that cpu is at most ~20-30%. After a short while, if I dont close chrome the whole interface gets unresponsive and I have to hard reset. Tried allready to uninstall - re install, install through homebrew, install through webpage, nothing fixes the problem.
For the time being I am using Firefox but I really need chrome for my daily work. Is there anything that anyone think I can do to fix this?
* the problem seems a lot smaller if i dont have the external monitor plugged in, but I can not say that for sure as I need to work in a bigger monitor *
