Hi,
So I had my 2019 MBP screen replaced in March 2021 due to dead pixels in the screen, got it back, and within 2 weeks I notice another mark on my screen, so went back and I was told that this mark was cosmetic so had to pay the AC excess to get the screen replaced.
Fast forward to now and I little while ago I notice another dot, exactly the same as the previous dead pixels on my screen so I went back to the apple store, although a different one that I was at previously at. I get told that it was in fact a chip and that I would have to pay the AC excess again to get it fixed.
The theory they went was that there was some dust on the keyboard when it was closed that scratched if that is the case then surely the screen is not fit for purpose if it does not hold up to the normal day to day use of what is supposed to be a portable laptop.
I'm very careful with my machine and I'm always cleaning it down, so I'm a bit baffled as to how these "chips" could have happened.
Has anyone else run into difficulties like this?
