Greetings,

I just got the MacBook Pro 14" with the M1 Max and was wondering if it supports Display Stream Compression and therefore USB 3.0 speeds with the XDR Display USB-C Ports.

If yes, could I hook up another 4k Monitor to an XDR Display's USB-C port? That would be absolutely amazing!

Thank you!

Best,
Nik

The XDR does not have a second Thunderbolt port that you can connect a display to.

Instead, get a Thunderbolt 4 hub or dock and connect both displays to that (you may need a USB-C to DisplayPort adapter). This will work if the XDR uses DSC and in that case it will allow USB 3.0 speeds to the XDR's USB 3.0 hub.
