macbook pro 3.1 will not start snow leo

hello,
i have a macbook 3.1 an at this morning will leopard not starting :(
when i push the power botton then come´s the start tone and the standart gray background with the apple logo under the logo the timeline where i can see that the mac loaded... the time loaded and loaded loaded and snow leopard startet not. the backlight from my key is off too.. i know what i must do :( can help me anybody? i love my mac and it´s bad when i can not work with him..
