Hi all,

Just a quick one - I bought a MacBook Pro 4,1 early last year (around april time) and took it with me on my travels through Asia/North America but the hard drive crashed big time and I had to wait 8 weeks until I could make it to an AppleStore to get it sorted. Now it's ran out of warranty and I can't purchase AppleCare I don't fancy running into the same issue again so I was planning on putting a new OCZ SSD drive in, particularly this one here: http://www.ocztechnology.com/produc...ocz_vertex_series_mac_edition_sata_ii_2_5-ssd. And whilst I'm at it may as well upgrade the RAM to 4GB and was looking at OCZ for that too, when usually I would use crucial. Ram link http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/memory/ocz_pc2_5400_ddr2_mac_sodimm

Has anyone successfully installed one of these SSD's? And does anyone have any reason why not to use OCZ memory over Crucial.

All comments and help much appreciated. Thanks.

Rich
