I have recently ordered my self a macbook pro 17" laptop, should be getting it by the end of this week, since Monday i have been searching diligently on the net and this form about RAM, i do plan on ordering some 2 x 4GB Ram sticks as soon as possible to install once my macbook gets here, problem is with all the reading i have done i was not able to come to a good conclusion on which ram i should go with, Corsair, OWC, newegg, G.Skill, etc. At the end they all were basically equal in reviews and praising.

I have been able to narrow it down to a couple keeping in mind the price.

OWC $475
------
Trans International$478 - i was able to get a reply from them regarding manufacture for the ram (The manufacturer is Hynix. There web site is www.Hynix.com.)
------
and last but not least

Crucial
$639.99 - which is last on my list seeing as how its a little more expensive.

If there is a website that i missed and they are reasonably priced please feel free to lead me to them.

i am not familiar with any of these manufacturers or company's selling these rams, first time Mac owner, but have used macs before a lot. Also any reason why most if not all the websites do not list the manufacturer of the ram sticks?

any help would be appreciated, thanks...

Crucial is pretty popular around here, and I've always gotten my ram from them. So far it's been all positive, however that price is pretty steep compared to the others, I also read alot of forum members satisfied with OWC. I'm looking to get 8gb for my 15" 2.66 MBP as well but I'm waiting for prices to drop a bit.
