Hi all,
I have a mid 2012 MacBook pro A1278, and after cleaning the fan I accidentally broke the connector that connects to the logic board. I think that 2 of the pads have come off.
What's the best way to repair please.
Many thanks.
Paul

i feel your pain, My MacBook air has left speaker connection on the logic board pop off years ago, long with other logic board needs.
you could solder the part your self, or use a local repair shop who specialized in  products, especially MacBooks.
they can perform this with in a day or 2 depending how busy they are
i can't estimate a price on this procedure.

you just might get buy using th macbook pro without the fan.

It's the 4 pin connector on the logic board. I was going to solder myself but I be noticed that 2 of the pads are missing. Is it possible to use wire to jump?
Are there any diagrams on what wires go where?.
I've looked on YouTube but can't find anything on if the pads are missing. As I don't know where to jump the wires.

Hi all,
I've heard that it's possible to just cut the fan connector off and solder the wires straight to the logic board, but I don't really fully understand where to jump the wires too.
Can anyone help with this please?
I know that the first pad is earth
1 pad is for 5v power
And the other 2 are for sensors, but I'm not sure where to go from here.
