So I spilled apple juice (I know, huge fail!) onto my Apple. After replacing the keyboard, the computer will power on via the power pads, but it gets stuck on the spinning wheel thing. So I need to do a SMC reset. The problem is that the power button doesn't work. Again, I can power on the unit via the power pads. So is there a way to do the SMC reset on the hardware, rather than by pressing the power button? (I tried to do the SMC reset with the power pads, but to no avail.) Alternatively, I'm thinking about replacing the upper case altogether, but if the problem is the SMC, then would I be right to presume that the new upper case won't power on the computer either? Any help would be much appreciated! :)
