MacBook Pro A1708 EMC 3164 trackpad problem

I have bought a used MacBook Pro A1708 EMC 3164 with faulty battery. When replaced the battery i accidently have broken the flex cable of the trackpad. I have bought a new one and now the trackpad is not functioning. I even bought a used trackpad with new flex cable and the same happens there. I have bought a second trackpad BRAND NEW with BRAND NEW flex cable and it is the same. Can someone please help me resolve this problem?
