I have a 2.2ghz mpb with 2gb ram. Right now this is my ram stats:

Wired: 251
Active: 891
Inactive: 440
Free: 479

I have open, safari, mail, address book, and finder. My comp is acting a lil sluggish. Like when i hover over the dock it sometimes lags.

I have similar stats and my mbp was running sluggish as well...

A few members recommended installing this script, http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/11582

It'll clean up a lot of cache files, fix permissions on your HD, etc. Give that a try, it helped for me, but I also upgraded my RAM to 3GB recently.

Well your RAM matches mine give or take 5. I have Google Desktop, Safari, Mail, iChat, and iTunes. As for the sluggish part, I don't really have that. I do have the 2.4 Ghz and better graphics card. Might have something to do with your dock. Plus, how many things do you have on it? Shortcuts and open items (as in minimized). I have noticed if I have a lot in my dock, it slows it down. Could always still be some bugginess in Leopard too.
