A couple times now I plug in my Laptop for charge and I am met with nothing. No charging, no little green light … NOTHING! I fiddle around with the wallplug and the computer plug (wipe it down with a dry cloth etc.) then eventually it starts working.

WELL NOT TODAY!! UGH…..

Am I missing something?? Help!

TIA!

Sounds like you have a dead AC adapter. Take it somewhere where they sell apple notebooks and ask if you can plug yours in to test if your computer will work with one of the ones they are charging their display models with. If it works immediately, just buy a new AC adapter. Otherwise, you may have a bigger problem.

I guess the reason that I am confused is that my computer is less then 6 months old. I should not be having ANY issue. :sigh:

Actually, Apple is about middle-of-the-pack in regards to initial reliability. It is a lot more common than you think.

Just bring it in, as you have a warranty. Make an appointment if you have a local Apple store.

It's not your computer, it's the power cable. MagSafe adapters are very prone to fraying and breaking.

less than 6 months entitles you to a replacement charger or repair. as long as you are under warranty don't hesitate to take it in to an apple store
