Hello,

I seem to have a re-occuring problem with the two MacBook Pros in our home. (one from late 2008, one from late 2009). When logging in, the airport shows 4 bars on both machines, but the internet won't work. Safari will "load" for a few minutes (no error message, but blank screen) until it says that it can't open the website (google) and no internet based apps will work. After about 5 minutes it'll work temporarily, until doing the same again.

The same problem occurs when closing the laptop lid and opening it later, it's the same all over again.

It's definitely not the internet connection because it works instantly on my iPhone and the two iMacs we got, it only happens on the MacBook Pros.

Initially I thought it's some software that might cause it, so I wiped the hard drive and reinstalled Mac OSX, but the same problem remains on both machines, the internet just won't work consistently.

Has anyone come across this / knows a fix? I'm really frustrated about this!
