Hi,
I have macbook pro aluminium, from 2007. Recently it was getting hot after having it on the legs. I have decided to open it up and clean the dust. I have cleaned the dust successfully from left and right side. Put everything back and it didn't turn on. I have then lifted up the keyboard removed the connector of it to the board and plugged back and after pressing power button it turned on. I have turned it off, put everything back again and power button stopped working again. I have removed the keyboard again, tried the same trick - no luck. Found on the board two 'power pads' with the name written PWR, tried to touch those with screwdriver to power it on, but no luck. So I have put everything back and decided to remove ram and put it back again - success, power button powered it up, but the fans were running very loudly(5times louder than before
, so I have decided to reset SMC. Followed instructions, and after that it does not power up again. Tried all the same tricks, but no luck. By the way, before reseting SMC, I have set up to power it on automatically, but it didn't power it on at the set up time. What else could I try to power it on? What am I missing while trying to power it on using those two pads near 'PWR' on the board?
