I've searched and haven't been able to find an answer. Every time I open a file in Adobe Acrobat reader on my MBP, the fan kicks into HIGH GEAR and won't stop until I close Adobe Acrobat reader. Any thoughts on what's causing this and how to fix it?

I'm using the latest MacOS version.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Are you using Creative Cloud App by any chance? If you do - you should completely uninstall it
reboot and reinstall the latest version - instead of stepping through updates.

First though you might want to use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to strip Acorbat out completely
and reinstall it after a reboot.

Papanate - thanks for your your quick reply. I'm not using Creative Cloud App (not even sure what that is). From what I can tell, it's just the basic Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
