MacBook Pro and Samsung SyncMaster 2233sw

Hey,

I'm looking to purchase an external monitor for my MacBook Pro. I'm thinking of the Samsung SyncMaster 2233sw. It says I need a DVI 24 Pin cable to connect it to my MacBook Pro. Which one of these Cables do I need?

I use the same monitor with my MBP, Its not a bad monitor but not as nice as my MBP display. You need a mini display port to DVI

You can save yourself some cash by ordering the Mini DP to DVI via monoprice though.

All this is for the 2010 unibody MBP, not sure if the other models use mini displayport or mini DVI. What MBP do you have?

Good choice. It's what I use at work.

2009/2010 MBP you need mini DisplayPort to DVI as noted by Narse. Prior years you need mini DVI to DVI.

I have the 2009 aluminium MacBook. However it has the exact same specs as the current base model MacBook Pro. So I presume they are exactly the same except mine says MacBook on the front, not MacBook Pro!
