MacBook Pro and USB Hub

Hey guys,
Just got my BRAND NEW MBP 2.2 GHz.. It's sickkkkkkk lol Nothing wrong with it, it's wonderful... I love it. Skipped the first two periods of school to recieve it from FedEx Haha. I have only ONE problem.

My USB Hub that worked on my iBook G4 doesn't seem to work on my MBP. The green light showing power will turn on but any device plugged into it through it doesn't work. The hub is a USB 1 hub, however my iBook had USB 2 and it worked just fine. It doesn't need a driver (I don't think). Any ideas?

if it is a usb 1 hub, I wouldn't even waste the energy. You can pick up good usb 2.0 ones from newegg for like 10 bucks.
