Currently I connect to my Apple Studio Display via Thunderbolt and then use the HDMI port on my Macbook Pro M4 to connect to a Samsung Frame 55 Smart TV....I am wondering if I would get the same performance (latency/quality) if I connected the Samsung TV to the rear ports of the Studio Display via a USB-C to HDMI Cable; or will there be better performance by connecting HDMI directly to the Macbook Pro? Trying to keep as few cables necessary to connect to my Laptop for convenience.

There is only one video-capable port on the Studio Display - the input one you are using.
The other ports are outputs for USB data-handling devices.
So you can't daisy-chain monitors with Mac OS (except Thunderbolt monitors with 2 TB ports).
