I have a 13" MacBook Pro late 2009 so the MiniDisplay Port doesn't support audio. I'm going away for school in the new year and will have to watch my TV shows, Movies and Sports over the internet and off my MacBook; so I'm looking at getting the new 27" monitor but how will I get audio?. Will I be better off to sell my MacBook and get the new one which supports the audio?. I'll also be hooking my XBox 360 to the monitor will the audio play off of the monitor?.

In order to hear audio through the display you need a display with speakers. Do you have that? No cable from your MB or XBOX can replace actual speakers.

The new 27" display from Apple has speakers built into it so I was wondering how I could get a 360 to work off those speakers. Worse case I can just hook up the speakers to the MacBook for TV, Movies and Hockey games but I'd prefer to find a way to play it through the display from Apple.
