According to Apple's webpage on batteries, I should be able to reach 1000 cycles on my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro battery before reaching 80 percent and needing to replace. As the picture shows, it looks like I'm already at 85 percent and only 280 cycles in. What do you guys think? At this rate, I'm going to be well beyond 80 percent. Does this seem like a defective battery?

I got my MacBook Air and it said I had 95% battery health. That went down within a month but now has hovered at about 85-90%. It seems to go up and down over time. I would suggest recalibrating the battery however, with a full charge, then use up everything, leave it a while then recharge. This should give you a more accurate reading.
