Hi all,

I am sure this has been asked a million times...but..
I have a 2016 MacBook Pro running 12.0.1
I just made the transition (due to a failing 2013 iMac) to make the MacBook my primary machine (while waiting for the M1 Pro iMac)
I have a docking station that charges and an external monitor.
Will I kill the battery now that the MacBook will be plugged in almost all the time?

Thanks

No, it generally doesn’t but if you want the maximum life use one of the utilities like AlDente that limits how much it will charge. If you keep the maximum charge to 75-80% it causes less wear on the battery. I keep my Air at 75% unless I’m taking it somewhere I need max power.
