Macbook Pro Battery X - No batteries available

I know this thread has been discussed various times, but i just can't find the right answer

Over the past few days my charger has been playing up and only working on some occasions. Originally i thought that it had to do with my power adapter, so i tried other power adapters but the green light still wouldn't turn on.

Also after concluding that it was my charger that was broken, my laptops fan then started to proceed to make loud noises, and i've tried shutting the laptop down numerous times, but the fan sounds still go on.

And then, my battery icon has the X stating that there are no batteries available (but i've been on my laptop for the past hour). Also i've read on other threads to check the power system and cycles remaining, and this is what it says,

What does this meannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn?

Hello (gonna try my best english)

Had the same problem, an X on my macbook battery icon, I solve it with this:

First I cleaned all the metal conductors on the power connector and I blew the dust on the computer with compressed air

Then bought a battery replacement on amazon at $25

and last I instaled the Battery Update 1.4
http://support.apple.com/downloads/Battery_Update_1_4

Now my computer it's working perfect..
